Group Chief Executive Officer
Farid Chedid is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of the Chedid Capital Holding group of companies.
Starting with the launch of Chedid Re in 1998, Farid Chedid embarked on a two-decade journey building one of the region’s premier insurance and reinsurance group across the Middle East, Africa, and parts of Europe. Chedid Re is recognized among the top-20 reinsurance brokers worldwide and registered as a Lloyd’s broker.
Today, Chedid Capital Holding includes Chedid Re, Chedid Insurance Brokers, and Chedid Corporate Solutions. In 2009, the Group established Seib Insurance Company, as a Qatar-focused company dealing with corporate and complex risks. In 2015, Chedid Capital acquired a major stake in City Brokers, the leading insurance provider in Mauritius and East Africa. The same year, the group acquired Al Manarah Insurance Services, one of the leading insurance provider in the UAE.
In 2016, Global Re and Strategic Risk consortium selected Farid Chedid as “The Middle East and Africa Industry Achiever of the year”. In 2017, 2018 and 2019, he was selected among the 100 Arab Achievers by Arabian Business publication and among the 35 Most Influential Lebanese Businessmen by Forbes Middle East 2018.
In addition to his many company board memberships, Farid Chedid is active in support of many non-profit organizations, serving as a member of the Board of Trustees at Notre Dame University, Lebanon; a Member of the Board of Endeavor, Lebanon; a member of Human Rights Watch, Beirut Committee; a UNDP Goodwill Ambassador and a Fellow of the Middle East Leadership Initiative (MELI), member of The Aspen Global Leadership Network (AGLN).
Farid Chedid is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of the UK, he holds a Master’s in Risk Management from NYU Stern School of Business; a Master’s in Finance from ESA/ESCP Europe; a Master’s in Management from Universite Paris IX Dauphine, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Maritime Law from London Metropolitan University.
ALI HADDARAHGroup CFO
Ali holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and an MBA in Finance from AUB. He is CFA Certified .He has accumulated over 20 years of experience in the Finance field. Prior to joining Chedid Group, Ali spent 12 years at Group Averda where he assumed a number of finance roles including Group Chief Financial Officer in his closing years, he then joined Matchbyte Group (London-Melbourne) as Group CFO. Ali is equipped with a broad expertise in acquisitions, raising bank facilities, corporate and tax structures, building finance teams, valuations, and financial analysis.
Imad JabbourChief Technology Officer
Imad Jabbour joined Chedid Capital Holding in 2019 as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He leads the group’s digital transformation strategy, and manages all technological resources and initiatives, including infrastructure, services, enterprise applications, and digital solutions.
Prior to joining Chedid Capital, Imad worked close to 15 years in the fields of software engineering, product management, and technology innovation. He served as CTO of Mitsulift Group between 2015 and 2019. Prior to that, he held various leadership positions at eBay and Oracle in California’s Silicon Valley.
Imad holds a master’s degree in Information Systems from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a bachelor’s degree in Computer and Communications Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
KARIM ZARKAExecutive DirectorCorporate Communication
Karim Zarka is the Executive Director at Chedid Capital Holding and Chedid Insurance Brokers in charge of Marketing, Communication and Business Development.
Karim holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Affairs from the Beirut University College.
He started his career in France, in 1992 with Kettaneh Group Holding managing one of their industrial subsidiaries. In 1994, he moved to Beirut to head the Telecom Division of Kettaneh Group.
From 1999 to 2005, Karim set up and managed various telecom companies and joint ventures specialized in value-added services and pre-paid calling cards in the Middle East and North Africa.
In 2005, Karim joined Grey Group in the capacity of Managing Director where he established and managed the Doha operation. During his 11 years as Managing Director of Grey Group Doha, he successfully pitched and won some of the most prestigious projects and accounts such as Doha 2016 Asian Games, Qtel, Vodafone, Commercial Bank of Qatar, Qatar Airways, Ministry of Public Health, Qatar Rail, Barwa Bank, Qatari Diar and Qatar Financial Center, to name a few.
Before joining Chedid Capital, Karim was appointed as Managing Director at Memac Ogilvy for their Jeddah operation.

Wassim JawishExecutive DirectorFinance
Wassim Jawish is Chedid Capital Group Finance Executive Director. He is responsible for finance, accounting and treasury activities. Prior to joining Chedid in 2010, Wassim was the Regional Finance Manager at Rotana Holding in KSA, Finance Manager at Syrian Kuwaiti Insurance Company in Syria and Budgeting and Financial Reporting Manager at Arabia Insurance Company in Lebanon. He is a member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountant USA, he holds an MBA from the American University of Science &Technology and a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York.
Alain JabbourDirectorCorporate Finance & Investments
Edwin is the Digital Transformation Director at Chedid Capital Holding, with over 12 years of experience in strategy setting, operating model design, due diligence, and private equity acquisitions.
Prior to joining Chedid Capital, Edwin was an Engagement Manager at Strategy& (formerly Booz & Co.), where he led a number of engagements including corporate strategies, national programs, large-scale change management & culture programs, and technology/ innovation projects for MENA clients.
Edwin holds an MBA from INSEAD and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
Layal is the Group Human Resources Director in the HR Division at Chedid Capital, with over 15 years of experience in improving business returns by innovative Human Capital strategies, and attracting, developing, engaging and retaining talents in MENA and Gulf regions for various industries.
Prior to joining Chedid Capital, Layal was the Global Head of Human Resources at IPM and previously the HR and Services Director at Averda Group, leading the HR and Services functions of Averda’s companies.
Layal holds an Agriculture Engineering and a Master of Irrigation degrees from the American University of Beirut, an MBA from ESA Business School, an ADP diploma from LBS, a Global Professional Human Resources (GPHR) certification from HRCI, a Team Roles accreditation from Belbin, and is an ICF certified Leadership and Career coach.
Me. Nathalie FreihaGroup Legal Counsel
Nathalie Freiha graduated from Saint-Joseph University with a Law Degree, then pursued a Master degree in Computer and Law, with particular emphasis on intellectual property law and e-commerce.
A legal expert with 20 years of experience, mainly in Corporate and Commercial transactions She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Law with Merit in the specialization: International Dispute Resolution from the University of London and is currently preparing for the LLM in International Business Law at the University of London.
Prior to joining Chedid, Nathalie spent 13 years at Naoum Farah Law Offices as Senior Lawyer - Head of Corporate Practice.

Josiane is the Senior Manager in the Compliance Department of Chedid Capital Holding.
With over 13 years of experience in Compliance, Anti-Money Laundry, she is in charge of managing the Compliance and AML activities of Chedid Capital holding.
Josiane holds a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Sciences from Universite Saint Esprit de Kaslik and is CAMS and ACSI certified.

An HR Professional with over 10 years of experience.
Kawthar Abou Rich joined Chedid Capital Holding in 2013 and is currently holding the position of Human Resources Senior Manager.
She is responsible for managing human resources activities across the Group including Manpower Planning, Organizational Development, Recruitment, Training, Performance Management, Compensation and Benefits and Employee Relations.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Universite Saint Joseph and Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification from the HR Certification Institute.
Marwan KharsaGroup Internal Audit Director Governance, Risk & Compliance
Marwan is Group Internal Audit Director at the Governance, Risk & Compliance department at Chedid Capital, with over 15 years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management and Corporate Governance.
Prior to joining the group, Marwan served as Group Head of Internal Audit at Barwa Real Estate Group and Senior Manager at Deloitte.
Marwan holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut and is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
May MedawarSenior ManagerAdministration
May Medawar started her career in 1982 with Rodolphe Saade & Co SAL as a Personal Advisor to the General Manager handling financial, legal and administrative matters.
After spending 18 years with Rodolphe Saade & Co SAL, Mrs. Medawar launched a new company involved in trading and distribution.
She was then employed in the Administrative department of a major retail company before joining Chedid group in 2004 as an Administrative Senior Manager.
Sahar KhairallahManagerOffice of the Chairman
Sahar Khairallah joined Chedid Capital Holding in 2011 and is currently holding the position of Chairman’s office Manager & Marketing Manager.
She performs administrative duties for Chairman and Members of the Board of Directors. She is also responsible for coordinating and developing marketing plans that align with the business strategy while maintaining the group corporate image.
She holds a bachelor degree in Management from Notre Dame University.
