Chedid Capital is seeking an experienced and dynamic Treaty Senior Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the treaty and business development landscape, with an emphasis on driving growth and strengthening client relationships. This role requires a strong ability to manage relationships with stakeholders and clients across multiple regions, including Africa. Fluent communication skills in both English and French are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

    • Business Development: Lead business development initiatives related to treaty services, identifying new opportunities, building relationships, and securing new business with existing and potential clients across different regions including Africa.
    • Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, both existing and prospective, to foster trust and long-term partnerships.
    • Market Analysis & Strategy: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, market needs, and competitive dynamics in the different regions of operations including Africa. Develop and implement strategies to leverage opportunities in the region.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams (sales, legal, operations, etc.) to deliver customized treaty solutions to clients while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and business requirements.
    • Travel & On-site Engagement: Frequent travel to various countries, including African countries, to engage with clients, conduct meetings, negotiate contracts, and provide on-the-ground support.
    • Contract Negotiation: Lead the negotiation and execution of treaty agreements, ensuring that terms are aligned with company goals and client needs.
    • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, business development activities, and contract negotiations. Prepare and deliver reports to senior management on progress and key performance metrics

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, treaty management, or a similar field, with a strong focus on various markets including the African market. Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry is preferred.
  • Languages: Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written) is a must.
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record in treaty business development and client relationship management.
    • Strong understanding of treaty structures, market dynamics, and financial products.
    • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
    • Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Africa and other countries.
