Chedid Capital is looking for a Senior Officer – Technical Support that will perform treaty technical support activities, including checking data breaches, calculating adjustments, generating statements of account, following up on claims for settlement, and performing quality assurance on simple accounts. The role also involves reviewing and preparing prior submission lists to ensure alignment with binding agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Implement related policies and procedures based on the binding agreement.
  • Coordinate with insurers to receive statements of account for analysis and ensure their timely transfer to reinsurers.
  • Generate statement of accounts for proportional and non-proportional treaties.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to clients (e.g., invoicing, documentation, and claims) to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Participate in in-depth claims analysis to anticipate and mitigate future challenges.
  • Conduct detailed and accurate reviews of received data and calculate necessary adjustments.
  • Contribute to updating claim forecasts and conducting trend analysis for monitoring and decision-making purposes.
  • Review loss records at the notification stage to ensure alignment with reported information.
  • Review claims registers and follow up with insurers on outstanding claims to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain and update claims documentation and physical files for tracking and audit purposes.
  • Generate and review closings (e.g., debit and credit notes), ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Coordinate regularly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery, quick turnaround times, and high accuracy.
  • Prepare correspondence with insurers and reinsurers to facilitate communication and request necessary documentation or information.
  • Follow up with the Finance team to collect cash-call claims and ensure timely payment processing.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, business, economics, finance, or an equivalent field
  • 3–5 years of experience in the reinsurance field, preferably within Life and Medical lines of business.
  • Strong reinsurance knowledge with experience in treaty technical accounts.
  • CII certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Detail-oriented and confident, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
