Chedid Capital is looking for a Senior Broker in the Political Violence Department. The role focuses on providing insurance advice for clients, negotiating the best policy deals and renewing policies in a professional manner.

Responsibilities
- Implement related policies and procedures.
 - Implement activities in specific areas under minimal supervision.
 - Ensure data of new offer details or finalized accounts are entered in an accurate manner in the system for reporting, reference and tracking purposes.
 - Develop and maintain a list of reference accounts by type of risk with standard conditions and clauses for benchmarking purposes.
 - Ensure physical file is complete and up-to-date.
 - Re-canvass markets on renewals for broader/better support and terms.
 - Identify potential reinsurance markets for types of risks on hand in order to provide satisfy insurers requirements.
 - Communicate with targeted reinsurers/binders for obtaining binding agreements.
 - Bind reinsurers upon firm order ensuring maximum share and obtain signed slips.
 - Negotiate with reinsurers in order to obtain maximum commission fees, competitive terms and conditions across all businesses.
 - Prepare renewal notices/information requests to be delivered to markets in a timely manner.
 - Promote Chedid Re services for business development purposes.
 - Provide technical advice to cedants/reinsurers in order to ensure high-quality service.
 - Coordinate with insurers to gather information for medium contracts and assess needs.
 - Collect, consolidate and cleanse data and statistics for analysis and renewal purposes.
 - Acknowledge receipt of submission to cedant and request any missing information.
 - Review and analyze new submissions received from cedants in order to detect discrepancies and/or missing information.
 - Obtain market intelligence on specific submissions to provide accurate data and information.
 - Prepare underwriting information needed for reinsurers for decision-making purposes.
 - Prepare proposal components to cedants (pricing, terms and conditions, etc.) for small accounts.
 - Provide support/quotes to cedants in alignment with agreement.
 - Process NTU & Lapsed accounts for future review.
 - Follow-up and obtain quotes from markets and block market capacity.
 - Propose underwriting analysis and quoted risks in order ensure alignment with the binding agreement.
 - Prepare Chedid Re reinsurance slip as per internal procedures.
 - Follow-up with cedants and markets to ensure high-chances of securing the firm order.
 - Review signed slips in order to ensure conformity with final accepted offers.
 - Confirm to cedants cover bound and issue binding slips for placement purposes.
 - Coordinate internally and externally in order to reply to queries and/or resolve issues.
 - Follow-up on premium payment terms in order to ensure extensions are granted and avoid cancelations.
 - Perform compliance checks and report identified issues for resolution.
 - Adhere to client needs on mid-term changes or endorsements.
 - Keep abreast the latest market trends in insurance and reinsurance for recommendation and implementation purposes.
 - Perform any other duties as requested.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Insurance, or equivalent in a similar field.
 - Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) is preferable.
 - 2 to 4 years of experience in the same or similar field.
 - Insurance/Reinsurance products & practices awareness.
 - Customer Service Oriented, with strong analytical thinking & communication skills.
