Chedid Capital is looking for a Data Protection Officer whose primary responsibility will be to set up and oversee Ascoma’s data privacy compliance program. This includes implementing and maintaining measures to ensure the protection of personal data in accordance with applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and implement data protection models and frameworks across Ascoma.
• Ensure the effective implementation of policies, procedures, guidelines, systems, and controls for data protection.
• Support the establishment of an operating framework for identifying, managing, monitoring, and reporting data protection risks and issues.
• Provide instructions and set project plans for the implementation of compliance models in Ascoma’s international entities.
• Identify and address violations or deficiencies regarding GDPR and other data protection regulations.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with data protection regulatory requirements by continuously monitoring their implementation and integration.
• Provide comprehensive guidance and advice to internal and external stakeholders on data protection matters.
• Lead and coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Investigate, document, and manage data protection incidents and complaints.
• Develop and champion a culture of data protection across the organization.
• Oversee the timely execution of internal compliance assessments and audits, prepare comprehensive reports, track findings, and follow up on the implementation of any recommendations.
