Chedid Capital is looking for a Business Applications Specialist (French Speaking), responsible for will support the IT department and all business units with issues relating to enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business process issues and suggest solutions; ensure process aligns with business strategy
  • Provide on-going maintenance of applications (1st level support) systems to ensure proper functioning
  • Attend meetings to conduct gap analysis to identify new business requirements
  • Take part in the evaluation and selection of any new acquired application
  • Take part in Business Application projects ensuring successful and timely implementation and escalate issues that arise
  • Interact and coordinate with users in all departments to provide technical support and problem resolution
  • Coordinate within IT Department on different matters
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Prioritize work to resolve technical emergencies as they may occur.
  • Provide programming and report writing support
  • Take part in reviewing and analyzing organization business needs; meet with users to evaluate requirements, discuss solutions, and develop plan of approach.
  • Analyze and design program logic, screen layouts, reports, station criteria and testing criteria to support development of new or enhanced systems.
  • Take part in performing ongoing maintenance and review of applications systems and programs; identify problems and develops appropriate solutions
  • Prepare program documentation to support new or enhanced systems and applications.
  • Take part in conducting user acceptance, performance stress, regression, and integration testing; make changes and correction as needed.
  • Contribute to team effort and work effectively with all departments and business units
  • Take part in reviewing and analyzing organization business needs; meet with users to evaluate requirements, discuss solutions and develop plan of approach.
  • Provide technical support during extended business hours and weekends for Chedid Operations.
  • Stay up to date on technical trends and best practices
  • Perform any other duties as requested
  • Take part in performing all aspects of systems design including writing required programs, testing and evaluating new processes and implementation of new applications.
  • Prepare program documentation to support new or enhanced systems and applications.
  • Participate in structured walk-throughs and other activities to review systems and provide training and support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent in a similar field.
  • Proficiency in French (written and spoken) is a must.
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in similar role.
