Al Manarah, a company under Chedid Capital is looking for a Specialty Unit Head in the insurance brokerage with a focus on the Specialty Division. The role emphasizes on overseeing of the organization’s business development operations in Specialty lines (CGL, TPL, PI, Cyber, D&O, BBB) in all the 3 branches at UAE, including developing and implementing strategies to attract new clients, negotiates contracts and ensure profitable role.

  • Work with the senior leadership team to identify and implement revenue growth strategies for the Specialty lines.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities and new ways of reaching existing markets
  • Identify, develop, and maintain robust and effective business relationships with client key decision makers
  • Proactively manage and strengthen client relationships by being their problem solving “go to” person
  • Continually follow up with clients through opportunity cycle, assisting where required and ensuring quality service delivery to secure repeat business.
  • Monitor the market (trends across all service lines), customers, suppliers, and competitors and ensure market intelligence is captured and used effectively in the business decision making process.
  • Prepare and deliver client account strategies and maintain market tracking database information.
  • Build and maintain the CRM system including management of sales opportunity pipeline
  • Work closely with colleagues to identify and deliver solutions to strategic, technical, service delivery, contractual and/or commercial challenges impacting client account performance
  • Lead the team and liaise with colleagues in the group to achieve targets and services


  • Must have a thorough commercial knowledge of insurance brokerage in any of the Specialty Line (CGL, TPL, PI, Cyber, D&O, BBB)
  • Between 7-10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to win business and secure new business consistently and effectively
  • The capability to develop strong client relationships and manage the business development cycle from initial approach to order closing and ongoing client relationship management
  • The tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets
  • Well organized and decisive with excellent communication skills
  • A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, and growing environment
